George is such a beautiful dog. What kind is he? He looks so thoughtful and inquisitive. I love his calmness.
I've read over some of your older blogs and enjoyed them immensely. The smell of haying always reminds me on when I was little. We lived in an old farmhouse but someone else owned the barn and surrounding fields. It was always exciting when they'd cut it, rake it into rows, and get on the old baler and tie the bales. Someone on the wagon would have two hooks and grab the bale as it came out and stack the flat wagon full. Such hard work! The smell was magnificent!
