At three minutes and four seconds after 2 AM on the 6th of May this year, the time and date will be 02:03:04 05/06/07.
A song by Stephen Foster classical music is a Romantic Period
Probably more importantly to me it is the birth month of two of our children.
Birth stones: Modern [emerald], Traditional [emerald], Mystical [sapphire], Ayurvedic agate], and 15th-20th Century [agate, emerald]
The Mystical Birthstone was obtained from a Tibetan book said to be over a thousand years old.
The Ayurvedic Birthstone list is from Ayurvedic Indian Medicine - an ancient type of medicine used for at least a thousand years.
The Traditional birthstone list shows some societal birthstone traditions, many going back to the 15th century.
Then there are Birth flowers; May has two, Lily of the Valley, Hawthorn
The meaning of the Lily of the Valley is Complete Life, Humility, Return of Happiness, and Sweetness
In ancient Rome, the Floralia from April 27-May 3 was the festival of the Flower Goddess Flora and on May 1, offerings were made to Bona Dea as Mother Earth, the Lares household guardian spirits, and to Maia Goddess of Increase from whom May gets its name. In Scandinavia, mock battles between Winter and Summer were enacted at this time.
Happy Birthday to our May Children!
