We saw them [Greek Guards ]

We saw them [Greek Guards ]in front of the Presidential Mansion as we were making our way toward the Acropolis and found ourselves caught in a major traffic jam. Changing of the Guard.
The shoes they wear are called Tsarouhi I forget how much they weigh.
The Evzones, or Evzoni, (Greek: Εύζωνες, colloquially: tsoliades / τσολιάδες) is the name of several historical elite light infantry and mountain units of the Greek Army. Today, it refers to the members of the Proedriki Froura (Presidential Guard), an elite ceremonial unit that guards the Greek Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Άγνωστος Στρατιώτης), the Hellenic Parliament and the Presidential Mansion. Today the regiment is purely ceremonial
