Reminder ~~~

Daylight Saving Time, or Summer Time as it is known in Britain, was invented by William Willett (1857 - 1915), whom was a London builder living in Petts Wood in Kent.

@@@@@@@
In April 1916, Daylight Saving Time was introduced as a wartime measure of economy, not only in Britain but also, within a week or so, in nearly all countries, both allied and enemy. Sadly, William had died the previous year so never saw his idea put into effect.
@@@@@@
William Willett invented DST and advocated it tirelessly.
This past year, Daylight Saving Time changed for those of us living in the U.S., this Web site is really neat. Here you will find time change information for the European Union, as well as, other places all around the world.

@@@@@@@@@@

This year, it will be on March 9, 2008 at different times during the day, depending on your time zone. In Europe, it will be on March 30, 2008. This site gives you that information in an easy to read table, as well as, more information about the changes below the table. You’ll also find out where Daylight Saving Time is not observed and why.

@@@@@@@@@

It also explains the grammar behind Daylight Saving Time, including the common usage of the phrase and what you’ll find in the dictionary. You will also learn about important safety measures you should take at this time, such as changing the batteries in your smoke detectors.

@@@@@@@@@

On the side menu, you’ll find more sections about Daylight Saving Time and its history. Daylight Saving Time certainly has had an impact on history.

I agree 'D' about the TV... we watch far to much... during the day I have Sky News 24 on all day to keep up with whats going on.. At night we sit there and watch it until bed time. In summer, well like you I can not bare being stuck in front of the box all day and night.

Interesting post about the time. I wish they would just let the time stay the same all year. Maybe I'm a party pooper. lol
