Fun Today

What could be more fun, on a dreary overcast winter day than to get together with people that love to cook?

I am sure there other things that pop into mind, but this is what I did today. It was totally delightful. A Pampered Chef Party… what fun we had…so much so that I am going to have one this summer… Go figure that?

Besides meeting new people and seeing some really neat gadgets we had lunch…and did not have to clean up.
How kewl is that?

Lettuce begin with a SPIN

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 16 oz. pkg. uncooked penne pasta ~~~~~~~~~~ 1 head romaine lettuce Cooked chicken in a special pot, Yup I got that too The pot...
1 large carrot
~~~~~~ 2 plum tomatoes
1/2 medium red onion
a Zucchini
fancy sliced...

1 small head broccoli
1/2 c. sliced pitted ripe olives
YUM on those black OLIVES....
2 oz. grated fresh Parmesan cheese (1/2 c.)
1 c. Italian or ranch salad dressing Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse under cold running water. Spoon pasta onto large serving platter.Meanwhile, thinly slice lettuce, carrot, and red onion. Coarsely chop broccoli. Slice tomatoes into thin wedges.Top pasta with lettuce, broccoli, carrot, onion, tomatoes, and olives. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over vegetables. Drizzle dressing over salad; toss to coat. Serve immediately.16 servings

A new butter Recipe Now called Christine’s butter

This was added to the Italian bread that was served with the salad... REALLY good!

4 sticks butter
¼c. honey
½ tsp cinnamon
½ vanilla extract The butter needs to be soft before you add the other ingrediants...then whip it to
blend in all the flavors...

I've never been to a Pampered Chef party and it does look like it would be great fun. The salad is beautiful!! Yummy!

I've never heard of these party's but agree they look fun. We have many gadgets in the kitchen, the one I like the most is the blender and it's many blades and settings. It makes perfect bread dough as well.

I feel a bread making day coming up. I have not made any in weeks.

Looks like you had fun, I hate cooking so anything to make life easier in the kitchen is great stuff. My son just went to work for a great company that sets up restaurants and i have to say i never new what a good knife ment till he brought two home the other day, i felt like cutting everything in site.
